Visual Description : This long oak settle has a high back and curved arm rests. The back has two rows of six panels each; the panels in the top row are squares while those in the bottom row are tall rectangles. The seat has two hinged areas that open to two separate compartments below. On the lower front area there are six panels arcoss and two key holes, at equal distance from the edge. The key holes are cut into a diamond shape made from ivory or bone. Either side of the settle has two panels each.
