Visual Description : Ivory/bone sculpture of black and white, and white, black and red birds on a rock wall. Six birds are black with white stomachs while the other four birds are white with black wings and eyes and red feet and beaks. The birds are polished. The artist was a "King Island Dancer". The King Island ivory carvers are some of the best in the world. This carving depicted their home, they lived in housed on stilts on a "Rock" island. They collected eggs and birds from the cliff for food.
